The area of the portal devoted to the user “Doctor” is addressed to general Doctors, students in medicine, Neurologists, Geriatricians, and to whom has knowledge in medicine and wishes to learn more on dementia and Alzheimer diseases, neuro-imaging techniques (CT, MR, PET and SPET), and neuro-anatomy by the use of cerebral atlas. The area is divided into four thematic sections:

• The section devoted to Alzheimer diseases includes an accurate description of the disease with ethiopathology and physiopathology, a description of clinical features, a description of diagnostic and therapeutic instruments.
• The section devoted to the neuro-imaging techniques presents a tutorial of the most important neuro-imaging techniques and describes their application for the diagnosis of Alzheimer diseases.
• The section devoted to the Brain Atlas provides different navigable atlases, either obtained by real anatomy or by neuro-imaging techniques.
• A Link section is present with a list of sites and resources available on Internet and relative to topics of the Portal.

Neuro-imaging techniques and the brain atlases are examples for the use in neuro-informatics, which are instruments of informatics applied to the neuro-science world.
